Is this you?

Fractional HR is usually the right fit when…

  • You've outgrown ad hoc HR, but a full-time senior HR leader isn't in the budget — or isn't needed five days a week.
  • Your leadership team is planning growth, a restructuring, or a significant change, and the people side needs a real plan.
  • Decisions about structure, roles, and pay are being made without anyone whose job it is to think about how they land.
  • Your board or owners want regular, credible reporting on the people side of the business.
  • When a complaint comes in, you want an experienced investigator to handle it, rather than asking a manager to investigate their own team.

Plus

Workplace investigations, conducted for you

When a complaint or allegation comes in, Daniel conducts the investigation himself — from the first response through interviews, findings, and a written report you can stand behind — so your leaders aren't put in the position of investigating their own team.

HR strategy & workforce planning

An HR plan tied to your business goals — what roles you need and when, how the organization should be structured as it grows, and what that means for budget and leadership.

Seat in leadership meetings

A standing place at your leadership table, so the people implications of a decision are raised while it is being made — not discovered after it lands.

Quarterly leadership reporting

A quarterly summary for leadership and, where it makes sense, your board: hiring and turnover, open risks, progress on HR priorities, and what's next.

Direct line during business hours

Reach Daniel directly by phone or text during the business day when something is time-sensitive, rather than waiting on a scheduled call or an email reply.

In Practice

What 25 hours a month can look like.

No two months are the same, and your hours go where you need them. This is an example of how a month on Fractional HR often comes together.

  1. 1

    Everything in HR Partner

Hiring, performance, manager coaching, policy upkeep, and priority advisory all continue.

  2. 2

    Investigations, handled for you

When a complaint comes in, Daniel conducts the investigation, so your leaders can stay out of investigating their own team.

  3. 3

    Leadership meetings

A standing seat at your leadership table, raising the people implications of decisions while they are still being made.

  4. 4

    Workforce and structure planning

Mapping the roles you'll need over the next year, how the organization should be structured to support them, and what it means for budget.

  5. 5

    Quarterly reporting

A concise update for leadership or your board on hiring, turnover, risk, and progress against your HR priorities.

  6. 6

    A direct line

Phone or text during business hours for the things that can't wait for the next scheduled conversation.

Not ready for a monthly plan? There's also a one-time Health Check, ad hoc hourly support at $225/hr, and On Call at $495/mo.

Good To Know

The fine print, answered plainly.

Is there a long-term contract?

No. Every plan is month-to-month, with 30 days' notice to change or cancel. If you want a lower rate, commitment discounts of 5, 10, or 15% are available for 3, 6, or 12 months.

What happens to hours I don't use?

Unused hours carry over one month, up to 20% of your plan. A quiet month is not wasted, but hours do not bank indefinitely.

What if I need more hours in a busy month?

Extra hours beyond your plan are billed at $150 an hour — well below the $225 ad hoc rate.

Can I move between plans?

Yes. With 30 days' notice you can move up when things get busier or down when they settle. Many organizations start on one plan and adjust once they see how they actually use the time.

Is there a way to start smaller?

A Health Check ($750–$1,500) is a good first step. It gives you a clear picture of where you stand, and its cost is credited toward your first month if you go on to start a monthly partnership. The credit is not combinable with prepay discounts.

Are there any other costs?

All prices are in Canadian dollars, plus HST. Most work is done virtually; travel for in-person visits is billed at cost. Founding clients lock their rate for 24 months.

Is this legal advice?

No. Work, Advised. provides HR advisory services, not legal advice, and your organization keeps final decision-making authority. When a situation calls for an employment lawyer, you will be told so plainly.

Is Fractional HR the right place to start?

A free 30-minute introductory call is the easiest way to find out. Tell me a little about your team, and we'll work out together which level of support actually fits.
